# Count how many branches are using a particular vendor

I would like to create a report that shows me how many branches use a particular vendor (both vendor and branches are dimensions in my database)

Any suggestions?

Hi Mark. I would think if you simply select the specific Vendor within the Vendor dimension, and select Focus, then go to your Branch dimension, you could accomplish this. Just make sure that you have the Activity Filter set to “Activity”.

Doing this will only show the branches that have values that have had transactions against that particular vendor within the time period you have selected. If you wanted to show the opposite - branches that DON’T use that vendor - simply select “No Activity” in the drop-down.

Hi Mark,

You can use the Matrix Mode.  
Select the Vendor dimension, then focus on the vendor you are interested, then click the Matrix button.  
Then select the Branch…
