# % Share for Matrix Mode

Hi PUG -

It would be a great enhancement to allow %Share to calculate horizontally across rows rather than columns only for Matrix Mode. Currently, there are two work-arounds that I know of:

1. reverse the matrix order - this is fine unless you’re matrixing against a large dimension like product or customer.

2. manually calculate the %Share in custom mode. This is also acceptable until you want to change the measure or defined period.
