# Specify Stream in Link

When creating a link on a dimension or property in designer, linking directly to a database, is it possible to specify the stream? You can specify the mode, and the dimension to view, but I can’t seem to find a way to specify the stream.
Based on the syntax of:
database:GL|Dimension=Customer&Mode=Variance&Customer=%%
I tried the obvious:
database:GL|Stream=MyStream&Dimension=Customer&Mode=Variance&Customer=%%
But that didn’t seem to work.

Hello Aaron,
I am afraid that the functionality for linking to a database doesn’t currently cover this.
I have logged this in our internal suggestions tracker.

OK, thank you! Obviously I can work around it for now by creating a favorite and linking to it. I was just trying to avoid having yet another favorite clogging things up if I could do it without!
