Period_Days and Period_Count

I have recently been working with some budget data and have been reviewing the use of {Period_Days} and {Period_Count} within Custom Mode calculations. I would be interested to hear how people are using those functions.

The other process I use to keep track of billable days is through manually uploaded Excel documents containing day counts by date, similar to how the budget dollars data is being uploaded. Any suggestions for usage?
