I am wanting to create a dashboard that has numerous different metrics all in one place to send out to my management team, but they don’t have Phocas accounts and won’t be able to view the dashboard.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to share a dashboard with employees who don’t have a phocas account?
I could just create a report for each metric but this will be like 10-15 different reports in seperate emails. I could also just do a screen capture but I want to automate this process.
Hi @Triston
Depending on your level of permissions on Phocas you cana share a dashboard with an external link which bypasses the need for uuser login. If you have the correct permissions you should see it when you click on the share (people icon) within the dashboard:
Now, if you dont see this, then its your user permissions. Assuming you are an admin, go to your user and there is tick box to allow this option to be available:
Under the “profile” tab, you will see this tick box on Collaboration:
Back in the dashboard then select external link and then provide this link to your staff which you can email to them. Be warned!
I personally worry about this option as it can provide sensitive data to anybody as the users couuld pass this on to a competitor and they can see all your data. I have used Phocas for 8 years and only needed this twice, and of them it was for emergency reasons and was removed within a week.
But it is possible. Hope this helps.

Jon
