Had to think about how to title this but have you ever built a report with a huge number of custom columns then find that you’re likely to need to change that report to different date ranges over time?
Annoying to have to change each column individually isn’t it? Not too bad if you’re just picking another already created date range but not if its a specific date or range.
What occurred to me this morning is to make a “Custom Period - Months” period in my profile. Duplicate the report and set each column to that date range.
Then if someone asks for the report for a specific range all I have to do is update the period to what I want then open the report and export. This could also work for dashboards where you need to roll it back.
