When using matrix share we are trying to find a way to display an average row that shows based on an additional dimension to compare like customers. If we have a dimension that is the customer, and an additional dimension that is a “Line of Business” code we want to do a matrix share on Product Group dimension and at a glance be able to compare a customer’s matrix share to that customers LOB average matrix share. That way we can bench mark that customer against like customers to determine Product Groups where that customer is below market share when compared to like customers.
Ultimately I would like to be able to put this on a dashboard so that when my sales team Focuses on a customer at a glance we can see how they are performing against like customers in various Product Groups and ask directed and productive questions during our sales calls.
